My interests center around how people in informal environments generate and acquire knowledge. I am particularly concerned with how visitors to art museums construct interpretations of artworks and exhibitions and what factors might affect this learning process, such as identity and experience. I use qualitative and quantitative research to interview, survey, and observe people about their experiences.
